I've been waiting for wind noise reviews on prinsu and wescotts low pro roof racks. I am going to buy one but I want to keep the car as quiet as I can.

Not too bad. Interesting that no instructions were sent so used their YouTube videos that were pretty good, though think they could have focused in on some details a little more. Beyond that, everything went on smoothly with no issues

I haven't noticed any so far, so if there is any, its minimal enough to not bother me. Here is a video I used when comparing the two different models



I honestly probably could have just bought the regular for how I plan to use it.. but I personally like how the pro looks better and figured for slightly more money on something that will dominate the top of my car for years.. worth the few extra bucks

In the comments to one of the Prinsu videos, someone mentioned Prinsu didn't put drain holes in their cross bars (in the sliding channel that you put hook fasteners into). That seems like something they need to address. Maybe their design accounts for drainage some other way.

Looks rad! Do you have to seal the roof with silicone or anything? I've never had good luck with that staying water tight for long...

Yes, they send some silicone that you fill the spacers with before you bolt it down. Between that, rubber washer, and the other metal washer.. imagine it should take a lot for any water to get in there

Can you confirm if there are any drainage issues like Hacksaw mentioned? Or if the drainage was addressed another way? I think that's the only thing keeping me from ordering one.

I haven't had any issues, but I also haven't had too many chances to drive in conditions that would result in drainage issues. Here are pictures of the back one which does show that there isn't really anywhere for the water to go so it is a valid concern I didn't think of prior. I will have to try and remember to take a look when pulling into the garage after the next heavy rain to see how things look

Hardest part was just getting the plastic covers off. I ultimately decided against using a trim remover after seeing some damage to the plastic. Not that I plan to use those again, but in the event I try and sell the parts or need them I wanted to keep in good condition. Ended up just using my hands and squeezed those in while lifting. Each one got easier after I figured out the feel. Once those were off simple enough to unbolt
