Brakes squeal horribly backing out of driveway each day

This is a known issue with these vehicles. I would wake up the neighborhood backing out of my driveway. The dealership fixed it free of charge and the noise is gone.

So it's fixable. Then I wonder why Toyota didn't just put something that doesn't squeal to begin with, as they already knew what the problem was?
Wouldn't that save them tons of money by not having to do warranty service and parts replacement?

They replaced the front rotors, new brake pads and installed a shim kit. Like I said before, this was a know issue and only happened when backing up, especially in the morning. I haven't had any issue since it was fixed.

Understood, but still, expecting a $70k-$90k truck to be quiet when backing up in the morning (and not waking up everybody around the neighborhood) is not too much to ask
