Black Exhaust Tip Installed on TRD Pro

Hi Minh. It is standard on the Pro. I just reached out to my dealer and they just got it in today and will install it for me when they have time!

Are you guys able to find it anywhere showing it’s a standard option? I recalled seeing black exhaust tip on the build configurator and summary. But looks like Toyota took it down? It’s only showing TRD performance exhaust. It’s not on my build sheet either.

Talked to the GM at my dealership and he said it’s an available added option in his system but not standard. He said he’s going to ask a Toyota Rep about it.

Same with mine. It is standard and the dealership should honor that for ya.

Which sort of begs the question, are they really installed with 'TRD Pro performance exhaust"? Does anyone know?

Is it standard on all Pro's? Mine didn't come with one and the window build sheet they gave me doesn't list it. But they also didn't give me the LED lantern that was listed as per my other post.

Seems I know more from quick internet searches about this vehicle than the dealerships does, I know it's new but come on, it's their job.

Yes, it was supposed to be standard on all the pros. If you ask your dealer about it, they should put an order in and have it for you soon.

IMO the exhaust is the biggest eye sore on the 6th gen. Do you by any chance have a side shot of the 4Runner?

The stereotype is real with the car sales people! Ugh, sorry you are going through that. Maybe just keep on hounding him a bit. I would make sure all of the requests are in writing, so you have a paper trail. Let him/her know that it was on all of the build sheets for all of the Pro's and if you need people from the forum to send you their's as proof, I am sure we would all step up. In these situations, I do think the squeaky wheel get's the grease. Good luck!

Hey Rodrigo. Your dealer should be able to order it for you and it should be at no charge including install. If you want to give Kalispell Toyota in Montana a call, they might be helpful. Also, here is a pic of the part number:

Thanks for the info … I wonder if this tip fits the prior generation one also ? The parts guy at my dealership made it sound as they did not have it in their system because it was a new vehicle … ie 2025… either way as long as it fits it doesn’t matter

Is everyone else with a Pro getting the black tip even if they wasn't listed on the build sheet. From my research and talking to the tech at the dealership, they are not a standard item for Pro's, just an option.

I'd sure like to be wrong and save the $90.
