Holy smokes! That looks fantastic!
Ummm, OK, uh, specs, price ... WHERE DO I SIGN?!? :p
Seriously though, that looks like a winner from a pure exterior design standpoint.

Yep. We were talking about that here:

Basically, without ANY info, not a hint of what might be on deck, I can't plan anything around possibly owning one, which means, it misses this 36 month cycle...
We could probably make it work, and I might make the effort if we got some decent additional details in the next 4-5 months.
Basically we have the 4xe coming off lease in April, and the Telsa in June. There's some extension options, we could buy the Jeep out, we could do some kind of short...
I believe it's just pushed back, Stellantis is doing well with EVs in the EU, they seem to have a solid EV platform (from what I've read). I think we'll see some kind of close-to-production reveal just before summer, orders opening in late '24 and the actual first deliveries in '25.
Which...
That '25 Wrangler 4xe refresh is interesting if it's something different that the JUST refreshed 4xe that added the new display, side airbags, V2x (via the power box), etc.
I saw someone in that thread (thanks, mostly a good read outside of the f***wits :D ) mention a new ZF8, with a config...
I might could still swing that, but I might need to extend a lease, swap the Wrangler 4xe for our other planned vehicle vs. another 4xe like we planned and make my car the swap for the Wrangler or possibly a Recon ...
From what I've been reading, the Wagoneer S is ... well, not a Wagoneer :giggle:
There was supposed to be a new name given it's a new product line - they even did a thing where they were taking recommendations from various social sites - I guess the name hasn't been changed, or maybe they just...
Oh, I hear you about price, holy hell, I ran a config over $100K without even trying.
I was actually a bit shocked by the GC L, I started with a higher trim level, added the 5.7L, got up to $80K.
We had a DD/RT, AWD, black out package, 5.7L, Cap chairs, pretty much every option and it was like...
Bummer, yeah, that's most likely a 2025 at the earliest for the Recon.
A 4xe Grand Wagoneer could probably get a good 50-60 electric only and if it had a hybrid tune more optimized for longer range MPG improvements, it could be a real winner.
I think you're right on with the target market, capabilities and features seem neat, we would definitely be a buyer, but our next cycle is coming up mid 2024, so unless we get some info soon, it's not even going to be on the short list.
Yeah, I was hoping too, I figured since they had no new info over the summer, they'd use the next big show to reveal some more Recon details, if not the vehicle itself.
I guess the revised '24 Gladiator will be their big thing next week, even though everyone pretty much knows what that's going...
Pretty interesting, yeah, some inciteful stuff in the comments, but also some spectacular cluelessness. :CWL:
We've been knocking around our two next vehicles quite a bit, one slot is pretty much spoken for (swapping the '21 Wrangler 4xe for a '24), but the the other one we're having fun...
Is it _possible_ that Jeep is holding up on a new Recon (and "Wrangler S") announcement until they (i..e, Stellantis) determine their position on NACS?
I think it would be way more impactful if they released new pics, some actual specs - and were able to say, "And our new EVs will be NACS...
Geez, it's been super quiet, nothing in any of the usual EV channels, Jeep sites, tech boards, etc.
I was really hoping to, well, really ANY updates on the Recon before the end of the month (though I realize, technically, that's through tomorrow :) )
