Right - I think you misread the numbers. Quarter to quarter it was steady. Year over year, there was an increase:
EV sales were up 15% year-over-year, totaling 365,824 sales in the third quarter
The fourth quarter of 2024 was another record quarter for EV sales in America as more drivers give...
Yeah, thatās just incorrect. Itās not āholding steady.ā Just two years ago BEVās were 5% of the market. Not sure where you are getting your numbers.
Letās place a little bet, shall we? We will hit 15% by the time the new old guy is out of office. You canāt stop progress. 15% of the market will...
I almost think they should have reached further back into the Jeep design catalog and make it even more boxy - more like an XJ with its integrated rear lights. It's more of a timeless two-box design that could have been updated easily.
I think they already look dated somehow. I know Jeep is pretty conservative with styling, but they should've pushed the envelope a little with this one. It looks like an oversized Renegade.
Exactly my first thought as well!
I don't know if it would have been more popular, but it's exactly what I wanted to replace my JK. Now, I'm looking at other options since it's clear a full BEV Wrangler is not a Stellantis priority.
Agree completely. Is it possible the design has just aged extremely quickly? I remember being so excited when the design concept first launched, and now it just seemsā¦ old?
Maybe itās more that my opinion of Jeep has taken such a dive with Stellantisā extreme mismanagement of the brand. Or...
That's the Stellantis way, and why the UAW is ticked off. I loved this vehicle when it was first announced, but the parent company's antics are souring me on the marque after 40 years. Tavares makes it sound like the sky is falling and cutting jobs. You'd think the company is going bankrupt...
Not sure why my enthusiasm for this vehicle has waned so much over the past year. Could be the announcements of EV offerings from other brands? I have a feeling Jeep is going to have to aggressively price this, and with its current parent at the helm, I don't have a lot of confidence. Guess...
I'd start with a buying service as soon as reservations open. They'll work with whatever dealer gets them the best price. I've bought a few vehicles like that and the only reason I'll step foot in a dealership ever again is to test drive a vehicle. We have six or seven Jeep dealerships within a...
Thanks! It's getting a little old now (11 years, 130K miles) and the major jobs are getting more frequent (just had all the rockers done). Still on the original clutch. I keep saying I've bought my last ICE vehicle, so really waiting for the EV Wrangler. I *love* the concept of the 4xe but I...
Yeah, Jeep has even stopped selling 2-door Wranglers in EMEA because they can't electrify them with the 4xe. Something about the combination of no battery space and the drivetrain is too large or something. That led to rumors they'll do the same in the US, as well as eliminating manual...
Wow. So they really are pushing for 500 real miles on the BOF platform? That's crazy. But yeah, gonna be really heavy too. The Recon does kind of look like a mini hummer EV in some ways, so I guess it makes sense. Thanks for the slides. I hadn't seen them.
This is true... Although lately, I've opted to be *just* behind the "early adopter" first wave to get closer to a balance of early adopter and not getting my wallet completely emptied. š For instance, I finally just got my first 65" OLED. Had I known how amazing they were, I might not have...
Which is bad news for those of us hoping that this would start in the $50K range. Looks like, as usual, Jeep is trying to position everything for the premium market. I guess it makes sense if they're going to try to not lose billions like Ford has said it's happy to do on its EV makeover, but...
I think we're going to be out of luck in NY as well. Check out the floor plan: https://www.autoshowny.com/floor-plan/
Jeep and RAM are sharing the space, and I'll be they'll be stuffed with the Anniversary Edition, the new Grand Cherokee (Wagoneer has its own space by FIAT & Chrysler/Dodge)...
I hate it when I know more than the Jeep salespeople on the floor do. I mean, specs, fine. But they didn't even know what the "Recon" was? Come on, people.
