Per moparinsiders:
Job #1 production for the Recon is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 24, 2025. This timeline is significantly earlier than initially expected and aligns with the increasing number of pre-production pilot models recently spotted testing in Metro Detroit.
First look at the 2025 Jeep Recon in motion! I think I like how it looks here more than any static photos we've seen to date. Just watch this on mute since the narrator makes up some specs (like 0-60 in 3.4 sec, which is the Wagoneer S EV's figure).
I think it's also the color that the black roof is paired with though. It doesn't pop as much against silver for some reason on this prototype spotted earlier.... or maybe it's the angle?
Nice finally!! The Land Cruiser & Defender vibes, together with the unmistakble Jeep grille is a great look.
Not so great Nexen tires though. Wish they stuck with BFGoodrich all-terrains on the concept. But maybe these are just there for testing and not production-intent?

Exactly, even if just repeating their expectations, it's good to hear it reaffirmed.
I do wish they came out with the Recon first though before the WagoneerS. It'd really make a much bigger splash for Jeep in terms of the brand's first full EV.
Saw this today at Autoblog.
During a press briefing outlining Jeep's strategy for the next couple of years, the brand confirmed that the Jeep Recon, the electric not-a-Wrangler, will finally be on sale in 2025. It will be the second EV Jeep launch in America, with the Wagoneer S launching first...

Yea, so far it's the only automaker to announce the adoption of NACS without mentioning Tesla nor a deal to use the Tesla Supercharger network.

Bada$$! Even if it doesn't quite hit that 500 mile range mark, which I wouldn't expect it to based on the Recon's boxy upright design, it sounds like Recon EV should still hopefully hit 400-450 miles range.
According to Auto News report, the Jeep Recon EV will be produced at the Brampton Plant in Ontario, Canada.
